Your data, your call.
You can delete your Scout Local™ account and the personal data associated with it at any time. Here is how, what is removed, and how long it takes.
Scout Local is a product of Novalyse LLC. This page explains how to delete your account and personal data from Scout Local.
Delete your account in the app
Open the Scout Local app, go to the Profile tab, open account settings, and choose Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. This permanently removes your account and associated personal data.
Request deletion by email
If you cannot access the app, email hello@joinscoutlocal.com from the email address on your account with the subject "Delete my Scout Local data." We may ask you to verify your identity before processing the request.
What gets deleted
Your account and personal data tied to it are deleted, including profile and onboarding details, date of birth and age-confirmation information, selected base, military affiliation, branch, household and preference details, saved favorites, reports, feedback, event suggestions and submissions, Beacon activity, notification preferences, push device registrations and tokens, app analytics tied to your user ID, business owner contact details, listing claims, campaign responses, and uploaded logos, business photos, event flyers, or other media tied to your account.
What we may keep
We may retain limited records where required for legal, accounting, security, moderation, or fraud-prevention purposes, and de-identified or aggregated information that can no longer be linked to you. Public business listing or event information that exists independently of your personal account may remain in the directory, but it will no longer be managed by your deleted account.
How long it takes
In-app deletion is immediate for your account. Any remaining copies in backups or connected services are removed within 30 days. We will confirm by email when an emailed request is complete.
